"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
I'm a Mormon.

My Sunday.

Today was a really great day at church. The talks given in Sacrament meeting were so sincere and given with such love. I was able to teach Sunday school again and although it was hard to get anyone to participate, I was able to feel the spirit in the room and I hope everyone else was able to feel that too. Relief Society was just wonderful as well! My FHE sister gave the lesson and it was so good. It was definitely something that I needed. I really do love going to church. Sunday is the one day during the week that I look forward to the most. To be able to partake of the sacrament and to renew my baptismal covenants is what motivates and reminds me to always do good during the week so I am worthy to partake of it. I love singing the hymns in Sacrament meeting. Singing hymns is one of my most favorite things to do on Sunday's! I look forward to waking up in the morning and to put on my cheesy EFY songs and to just prepare myself for church.

Elder Dallin H. Oaks said: "We need to make more use of our hymns to put us in tune with the Spirit of the Lord, to unify us, and to help us teach and learn our doctrine. We need to make better use of our hymns in missionary teaching, in gospel classes, in quorum meetings, in home evenings, and in home teaching visits. Music is an effective way to worship our Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. We should use hymns when we need spiritual strength and inspiration" (Ensign, Nov. 1994).

Today I got a text from one of my FHE brothers asking when I was going to make them dinner...so I decided heck, why not just make them some waffles tonight! I wanted some anyways so I figured I'll just make extra for them...little did I know I somehow was short when mixing the ingredients and only had enough to feed them. Although I was starving, I'm the type of person that has to be the last person to eat when I make something for people. I made them eat and I ended up just eating some carrots, goldfish, and some scramble eggs :) I just like putting people before myself and before I used to think it was sometimes a bad thing but hey, it'll come in handy for the mission for sure! :)

{{those are carrots...i promise...}}

I was able to get majority of my religion homework done, still got some to work on though. I'm trying to get all of my religion homework due on Tuesday to be finished by tonight because since tomorrow is Halloween...I won't really want to do any homework. I mean, lets be honest. Suz and I are going to be VAMPIRES! I'm stoked! And I even found a modest outfit :) Total score.

Tonight I got to write my acceptance letter to The First Presidency. I said a prayer before I wrote it and just wrote what came to my heart. I really am excited to serve in the California Los Angeles mission. My mission call is so perfect to who I am. It just fits me completely! There is no other place that I can go then Los Angeles, California. I am suppose to go there and it feels great to know that :) Yeah I'm kind of scared, don't get me wrong, but I know that if I put all trust in Heavenly Father, He will be able to put words in my mouth and with the spirit, I will be guided in what to say to every investigator I meet.
