Today was day 1 of studying out of Preach My Gospel. Preach My Gospel is a prep book that is intended to help better prepare a missionary when going out and preaching the Gospel. It's considered a guide to missionary service. I get to have the wonderful opportunity to re-teach this very recent convert {{maybe 2 months he has been a member now?}} the 5 lessons he was taught before he got baptized with this guy in my ward, Seth. Today, Seth and I met after devo where I thought we would just read over the lessons and designate who teaches what...I couldn't be more wrong. No, instead, we did some role playing. I WAS SO SCARED! I was so flustered and he was able to reassure that I already know all of this and it's a matter of putting all of my thoughts together and teaching by the spirit and not just reciting. Well, I connected all of the 8 points {{actually, I forgot to mention the last point simply because I didn't see it}} together and was able to explain to him why each point was important. He was so amazed! It made me feel confident in what I was doing. He kept telling me that he wouldn't be telling me if I was doing an amazing job if I really wasn't because he wants me to learn but he is so excited about me serving a mission and knows I'll do great! I've been super overwhelmed lately. I know I can do this work but it's a matter of having the confidence. Today, I was able to feel that confidence and it was exactly what I needed. This Sunday we get to teach Mike together and I'll be teaching 6/8 points. Next Sunday while I'm teaching Sunday school, he'll have a premie {{a guy who hasn't gone on a mission yet, typically an 18-19 year old}} and himself teach Mike and then the following Sunday {{when I'm not teaching Sunday School}}, the premie and I will both teach Mike and Seth will just sit back and watch us. BAHH! So nervous but so excited :)
♥ The Girl Who Knows The Gospel Blesses Lives
"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

- I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
