"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
I'm a Mormon.

Utah!

Today I finished my last final of the semester! WOO! Time for SUMMER! :) I only got 1 hour of sleep last night and had to drive to the Salt Lake Airport this morning...which is a 3-4 hour drive (with traffic, construction, etc). I don't know how I survived but I had my first Red Bull today...not a fan of them haha. Definitely kept me alert but yuck!

The reason why I was going to the Salt Lake Airport was to go pick up my daddy! He was concerned about me driving all the way home by myself so he flew to Utah so he can drive home with me. When I picked him up, we went to Crown Burgers for lunch which was delish! Then, we went straight to the Salt Lake Temple since it was only 2 minutes away! I've never actually walked around the Salt Lake Temple or really had a tour of any sort so it was fun to experience it all for the first time with him. Of course, we laughed at the short super cheesy videos they had showing in the Visitors Center and j-walked everywhere pretending like we didn't speak English just in case the cops tried to give us a ticket. We went to the Conference Center and had a tour there. WOW! The Conference Center is HUGE!! I mean, you think you have a general idea of how it looks like from the t.v. but it really doesn't do it justice. It was fun to hang out with my daddy at the temple!

After, we finally got to the Morley's house where we ended up watching two movies at the same time (because we HATE commercials). One movie we got into was the Davinci Code. We ended up talking for 20-30 minutes about the movie and just questions he had about the church and stuff. It was a really cool conversation! We both had great insights and it was just nice to hear what was actually on his mind about the church and what not. It's all good stuff, don't worry! But, my daddy did grow up going to a Catholic School his whole life so he knows his bible doctrine.

As I was about to go to bed, Brother (or President? Idk anymore lol) Morley told me I needed to move my car and park it in the driveway which I thought was going to be a quick in and out procedure but I actually ended up talking to him and his wife for a solid half hour. We started to get into the topic of genealogy and how important it is. One thing that I found really cool that the shared with me was an activity they are doing on their family vacation with their kids and families. They made copies of journal entries of their parents that they want to show to their kids. I thought that was so neat because that is something that I hope to do with my family and what I hope my kids will want to do with my journal entries. It is SO important to write in your journal! You may not think it's necessary but I know that not only are your kids going to want to know about you, but their kids and their kids and their kids and so on will want to know about YOU.

We're about to head home to California tomorrow at about...5 in the morning? It's going to be a long ride but I'm totally looking forward to it! California, here we come!! :)

Daddy: "Wanna hear something funny?"
Me: "What!?"
Daddy: *fart*
Me: ...REALLLLL COOL DAD!
hahahahhaha!
