Get My Name Right The First Time Kiddo

One thing that I don't understand is how easily one can forget a person's name. When I meet someone for the first time and they tell me their name, I repeat it in my head a million times so I won't forget it. If I don't happen to see that person for a week or so, yeah, it's most likely I forgot it but I at least made the effort to remember it when I first met them and try my hardest to guess what their name was again (which I usually am able to do if they tell me the first letter of their name lol).

Today I saw a guy that I remember meeting a week ago. We didn't remember each others name so we re-introduced each other. After our conversation I said, "Well..I'll see ya later _______". He then said, "Yeah, I'll see you later Allison"...."Claire? Alisa? Breanne? Olisa?"....yes...he called me OLISA...haha! Then, he had the guts to ask me and my roommate to come over to his place and watch a movie later that night and my response was, "Well, once you figure out what my name is then maybe we'll come over"...that was the end of that conversation. Haha. You can say that was rude but I think it was funny actually. I don't think a guy has ever messed up on my name that bad. Guys, if anything, if there is one thing you're going to remember from a conversation you have with a girl...please have it be their name.
