THE SECRET IS OUT!
Sunday nightish I got a phone call from one of my best friends Ariel Thexton while I was in a middle of a nap. This is how the conversation went...
A: Are you currently in California right now?
O: Uh...yes.
A: Will you be in California next week?
O: Haha yes Ariel why?!?
A: Want to audition for idol with me??!?
O :.....uhh.....uh...wait, my mind is running in circles ummm did you just ask me if I wanted to audition for American Idol???
A: YES! Haha do you want to??
O: uhh...um...SURE!
Let me just tell you...I was not expecting to audition for American Idol this week. I didn't even know that auditions were this week. Sarah and I were actually hoping to go to Disneyland this week so if that plan actually followed through, I would not of been able to even audition for Idol. I figured that this was what I was suppose to do this week.
I was in complete shock when Ariel asked me. Like, I literally woke up from a nap and then got asked to audition for Idol..uhhhhh haha I definitely thought I was still dreaming because of how random of a question it was. So, Sunday night I decide to go audition for Idol! Ariel then informs me that our other friend Ari will be auditioning with us so I was stoked.
Tuesday morning was when we get our wristbands. We left as 3am to get there by 4am to wait for our wristbands when they weren't even going to start passing them out till 7am. You may think that we were crazy but in the long run, it was such a good thing we got there when we did. We waited for 4 hours and it was so cold! However, we still managed to have a good time :)

Then came today...the audition. I woke up at 1am to get ready so that I could pick up both girls and head out to SF. We ended up getting on the road at 2:45 which was right on schedule (it was so weird waking up at 1...especially since that's usually when I go to sleep!) We got to SF at 3:45ish and just waited until it was time for us to go in. We decided to do a sleep train so that we could take a nap on each other :) I know, genius idea. I thought of it for the record. Later, one of the producers came outside and filmed us saying quotes like "Welcome to San Francisco", "San Francisco" or simply just wanted us to scream and wave nonstop. It was cool at first but definitely got old...especially when you are running low on energy and sleep.
I didn't make it pass the first round but I was very happy with my audition. I felt like I nailed it but my style of singing wasn't what they were looking for. Overall, I'm really proud of myself for doing it. Auditioning for American Idol is definitely something I can now check off my bucket list!
Conversation between a mother and daughter at auditions...
Mom: Honey, you should change this answer on your form.
Daughter: What do you mean?
M: Well, it asked if you are related to anyone famous and you put Carrie Underwood...
D: Yeah, cause she is my sorority sister!
M: But you are not related to her...
D: Yes she is mom, she is my sister.
M: That doesn't mean she is related to you.
D: But mom, she is my sister ok? Gosh.
^^COME ON NOW! I just don't get some people...
