So, tonight...I was a bit of a rebel. Actually, I was a rebel! J and I went Stadium Singing tonight and afterward, he told me how someone told him how to sneak into the new auditorium (The Student Center). He asked me if I wanted to do it...and I kind of hesitated at first...but then, knowing me, I of course said YES!
So we went into the Hart and we were very excited about what we were about to do. We were walking down the hall and we saw a guy towards the end so we made a quick turn, J saw a poster, and then he started to talk to me about it so it looked like we weren't "up to no good". Eventually, the guy walked by us and I'm pretty certain he was a student so it was nbd.
We get to the start of the construction and there is tape from one side of the wall to the other as a "do not pass" reminder...psh yeah..some reminder. We go over the tape and then to the door. J then asks me if I wanted to do it, again, and at that point...I started to second guess myself. J didn't want to anymore but of course, being me, I start to open the door and in we went! We went up some stairs and then got to the "bridge" part. There were cameras at the top of the ceiling. But, just past the bridge was the actual entrance of the center and we KNEW what would be awaiting us on the other side! So at that moment, we were debating whether we wanted to keep going or not. J pointed out that there were cameras and started to freak me out by telling me how they could trace us back. But, I reminded him how his friend went out and did it on Friday and he hasn't gotten in trouble...yet. So of course, I just start walking haha and then J follows. Once we crossed the "bridge", we opened the door and there we were..inside the center. We wanted to be super quiet so we tip-toed inside, up the stairs and then we were inside the actual center were devotionals, graduations, etc will be held starting in January. IT WAS SO SWEET! It looked JUST like the conference center! Seriously...BYUI is going to one day be a million times better then BYU :)
After sitting in the chairs for a few minutes, we decide to bounce. We hurried out and started to laugh the moment it was safe to talk in normal tone again. Haha we felt like such rebels! We then go through the Hart auditorium to get to the car and J sees the organ. He then wants to play it so I watched him mess with the organ which was pretty cool. Such a fun night.
Ok. Time out. LARA JUST CALLED ME AND TOLD ME SHE'S TURNING IN HER MISSION PAPERS! I almost started crying when she told me that! Not going to lie...the second I got off the phone I became super envious of her. I wish I was at that point in my life where I can go on a mission. She's going to be an amazing missionary...oh my goodness. AH! We also realized that when she comes to the bay in December for Jessica's wedding...that'll be the last time I see her for...like...2ish years! Because, by the time I go, she'll have around 6 months left. Actually...it could even be up to 3 years :( But it's ok...because we're going to be pen pals and we're going to write to each other through our missions :) Man, I love that girl. Such a role model to me.
