"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
I'm a Mormon.

Example

I had an experience that I wanted to share but totally forgot about it till now. It happened during the last night of country dancing for Fall semester. I was asked by a guy to dance and I of course said yes. He said he needed help with his foot stepping and I figured he asked me because I had my instructor tag on. He had me the casual questions, "What's your name?" "Where are you from?" "What are you majoring in?"...you get the gist. When the song ended, he started to escort me back to where he found me standing. As we were walking back, he asked me if my last name was Baeza...I replied back "uh...yeah?" with probably the most confused, frightened look on my face hoping he hadn't stalked me or anything haha. He then goes on and says something that went a little like this...

"I served in the Oakland mission!! I knew
Erik Johnson, Jason Child, Dallin Coons,
all of those guys! You were in the Pleasanton 3rd ward, right?
I always wanted to serve in that ward my whole mission!
It was the famous ward! It's so talented and there are some
amazing people in that ward. Everyone wanted to serve in it!
I had heard about you my entire mission and hoped to of met you
while I was in Oakland. You were spoken so highly of.
Everyone knew who you were. The mission President
would talk about you at times in our meetings with him.
I just wanted to thank you for your great example and being the
pioneer for your family.
So thank you."

It's always fun whenever I meet people who served in the Oakland mission. Here I was, thinking this guy was a creep for knowing my last name when really, he had known me through his mission! I just really liked what he said about my ward and myself. If we always remember to be an example to others, we will get noticed. I remember my senior year when I finally became a member and I wore a tank top with a sleeveless, thin vest over it and I got at least 5 people asking me, "Are you suppose to be wearing that????" and they were all nonmembers. It's amazing. They really do notice our example.
