"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
I'm a Mormon.

Remembering the Past.

Today I randomly decided that I wanted to look through some of my old yearbooks. I chose to look through my junior and senior year since majority of my memories came from those two years in high school. I used to always look forward to getting yearbooks because I always loved getting so many comments from my friends and seeing what they had to say about me. I've been down for about a week now so reading some of the stuff my friends said about me really brought my spirits up! So, I decided to post some little excerpts from my junior and senior year in hopes that whenever I feel down again, I can look back on these and remember the good times when life was 'easy' ;) This is a super long post so haha I'll be amazed if you read it all!

"Olivia! My girl! You are so much fun to hang out with AND you give good massages! We are going to hang out this summer. Congrats on the baptism. ooxxxoxox Topher"

"Olivia! I am so glad I got to know you over these past two years. You are such an awesome girl! I'll never forget that one night when I found an excuse to call you and we talked for 4 hours! So crazy. We found every excuse we could to see each other at school. And we went to Sadies too! So much fun. I will miss you a lot next year. Have fun being a senior! I'm sure I will see you over the summer. - Tate Tate Tate"

You're the best dance partner I've ever shared the stage with-you bring such energy to every life you tough! Never lose that, hun! Much Love! - Steven Sobzak "

"Olivia - wow you have so many friends that you have to have separate sheets for your autographs. I believe it though- you're one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. This one is a long one but...one of my favorites
"BFF! Hopefully you can read my 4-year-old writing. Here's a quick recap of how far we've come: last year you wrote in my yearbook, "If I ever wanna have BAD sex, I'll give you a call!" My my. We were such great friends ;) At the beginning of this year, we talked a little, but not a whole lot. Then the musical rolled around and a best friendship was born. Senior year has definitely been my favorite and it's in large part due to my BFF. There are some regrets I have when it comes to our friendship. I regret not taking choir sooner so I could of met you sooner, not talking to you earlier in the year and...nope, that's it. The things I like about our friendship would take hours to write but here's a few: I can tell you anything and you can tell me anything, I can be myself around you and not worry and I love making you happy when you're sad. I'm really going to miss you next year but as you say, "We'll hang out every day!" Seriously though, we will hang out lots. You, Olivia Baeza, are an extremely talented, funny, intelligent, energetic, happy, silly, fu, beautiful individual who I am glad to have as my BFF. You make me so proud by living our religion out loud and by putting so much faith in God. Even though I'm not Mormon, I look to you for spiritual guidance, because when you find someone so filled with the love of God, it doesn't matter doesn't matter what religion either of you are. I can always trust you to make a right, moral judgment, whether it's regarding a decision I have to make or you have to make. I'm running out of room so I'll wrap this up...I hope you have an amazing SENIOR year! I love you BFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, your BFF aka Brent Freitas"

"Olivia, It's amazing how long we've known each other. I know there is a lot of sexual tension but we managed to be friends. I love you so much. You are the nicest person ever and I'm going ot miss you more than you can imagine. I hope BYU-I is amazing. Don't be a stranger. - Nick Baldwin"

"Hey Olivia, You are a wonderful person and I love you! I am so glad that we have become better friends this year. Thank you for all of the wonderful massages...you always made me feel better. Thank you for being a great person! Love, Andy Eslick"

"Olivia! I miss you already! You are the best person to sit next to! Ah, please don't leave me! You are one of the best singers ever and whenever I listen to your solos it takes my breathe away! Thank goodness I have choir CD's! You are a lovely person inside and out. I know that things will work out in the end for you, I promise. Thank you for always being there for me. You are gorgeous! Love you forever! Love, Gabby"

"Olivia, Thank you for being nothing short of a class act. I appreciate your positivity and good nature all year. You are a success because you work hard and do it with a smile. It was my honor to be your teacher. - Mr. McCaff"

"Olivia! I have had so much fun singing with you these past 5 years! You are an amazing isnger and wonderful friend. I am going to miss you a lot so come visit often. I love you! - Michael Norcross"

"Olivia - You are such a sweetheart! :) It's hard to imagine choir and Amador without you. You really changed my high school experience and treated me like a song and took care of me in Millie and always supported me. I love you girl! :) Good luck with college! - Freshmen aka Andrew"

"Olivia, very few students come into AV and make not only an impact on the school but on me as well. Thanks for sharing the energy, commitment, and fun! Enjoy the future!! - Mr. Fuller"

This one is long too... haha :)
"Rollie Pollie Oli-Oh! I can't believe we are finally graduating! It seems like just yesterday we were both sitting in Sprague's class. Look how far we have come...best singers in the senior class :) I'll have to say, you are one of the most important people in my high school experience. I don't know what I would have done without you. I would have not known where to go for all the rehearsals, I would have worn the wrong thing, and been late...haha so I totally needed you :) In all seriousness though, you are so sweet and you have been such an amazing friend!'...'I remember back to when you told me you might want to be Mormon and being so upset because I knew I had no chance. Wow, I am so proud of you and your faith. You set such an example for anyone who sees you because you faith is so strong. I hope one day I could be half of what you are spiritually. Thinking back on all our memories right now (in my room after choir awards) really shows me how impossible it would be for me to not talk to you.'...'I love it when we hold our pinkies and when we always fight to stand next to each other on the risers. I love it when you shout, 'MATTCHEW!!'. I love it when you laugh and spread your smile around the whole room. I only hope the next 5 years will be just as great if not better then the last 5 I have known you for. Thank you for all you do and are. - Matt Hawkins 'MATTCHEW!' "

Aubel wrote twice in my senior year book because he said how the first one he felt rushed and then wanted to write some more in it. Here is the first and second he wrote.
"Olivia- You are one of the sweetest persons I have ever met. Your beautiful smile brightened my day so many times. And your voice...from Book of Love in MVE to the 'New Modern Millie', you were just awesome. I am going to miss you! I know that you are going to be successful in everything you do. Good luck in college. You have been one of my favorite all time students and a friend. - Mr. Aubel"
"Thank you for all the time you brought me 'Whoppers' and for the Crystal Apple :) I will think of you when I see it on my piano. Anytime I was having a bad day in class (not very often) I would just look at you and everything would be okay. Mixed vocal ensemble (especially when we were in a circle) was my favorite 15 minutes of the week. Please come back and see me sometime or maybe I'll see you at a concert or break. Take care. Love, Mr. Aubel"

Honestly, I had the most amazing high school experience. At that point in my life, I literally had everything. I laugh at myself when I used to think it was "soo hard" being in high school. I made some friends in high school that I am so grateful for. This definitely lifted up my spirits. I'm so ready for a good week :)
