"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
I'm a Mormon.

Wes Leonard.

I just went on Yahoo and found a headline saying, "Shocking Tragedy At End of HS Game". I decide to click on it because it was a boy with a basketball in his hands and I figured maybe it was a huge upset game. Wes Leonard was the star basketball player at his school. His team played Bridgman High and he made the winning lay-up which was the game winning shot leaving the score at 57-55. While celebrating on the court on the victory, he collapsed and was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after. His death was due to an enlarged heart. Not only did this junior--who was also the quarterback for the schools football team--score the winning shot but because of that, his team ended the season with a perfect record.

I just cried my eyes out. This hit me so hard when I read it. I have two brothers who play basketball. The thought of watching them playing a game and then collapsing on the ground and soon finding out that they was dead...is a horrible, sickening thought. My heart goes out to this family and for that community. They don't know if he had ever had previous heart conditions but from the sounds of it...it was completely unexpected and nothing typical of the young boy.

The one thing that I am so eternally grateful for are eternal families. I know that if anything were to happen to my family members that I will see them again. That because of this gospel, we know that families can be together forever and because we have had the ordinances done, we are forever a family. I always wonder how I would feel if I had a family member die. I know I would be completely devastated but, at the same time, I know that in time I will remember that I will see them again and that they are not gone forever.
