Today is my grandpa's 68th birthday! Papi Marcos is a dang young abuelito if you ask me! I didn't even know it was his birthday until my mommy commented on my aunt's status for her birthday saying how her dad and her share the same birthday. So, I decided to call him! He was SOO happy I called! I don't think I've ever heard him so happy on the phone with me haha. He was so surprised I actually called...he even said it was the first time I ever called him on his birthday which I'm positive is false! I think he meant it was the first time on my own I've called him since I remember calling him with my brothers in the past. By the tone of his voice I could hear him smiling on the other end. It brought tears of joy to my heart! He is the only grandpa I have and know since my daddy's dad died before I was born. He kept telling me on the phone how much he loved me and how he's going to wait til I get home to go out to dinner. He also made the comment how I don't like talking to him on the phone because he speaks really bad English haha! He does have horrible broken English but I absolutely love it!! I love mi abuelito and I hope to take advantage of the distance between our homes (20-30 minute drive to their house) when I'm home in Cali. I love him so much!

- I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
