Saturday was such a beautiful day. It started off by waking up at 11, jogging to Eric' soccer game, coming home to shower, and then the long awaited event of visiting my old bishopric. I've been a part of three wards here at BYUI and the 21st ward, by far, has been my favorite. Not only were the people great and the ward unity strong but the bishopric...the bishopric are true followers of Christ and are amazing examples of men who hold the Priesthood. We went to Bishop Shumway's house for a BBQ where we were able to enjoy each others company, laughs, and memories. When I walked into their home, I felt such a sweet spirit present. Seeing Bishop brought tears of joy to my eyes. When Brother Ashmore and Brother Eaton came in with their wives and I was able to give those men a hug...my eyes again were filled with joy. I was surprised that I teared up! I didn't realize how much I missed their presence in my life. I was able to take a little time to talk to each of them personally and each asked how my family was doing. They sincerely cared for my family issues and wanted to know how I was doing. I really needed that at that moment. We seriously all talked to each other the entire time. And it was never like we had to force conversation...it just all flowed and we all had something to say to one another. When we were talking about raising kids, Sister Eaton said, "Kids make you wish you had chosen the other plan." Hahahahahahahahaha!!! SO FUNNY! I died when I heard that! She was obviously joking {{kind of ;) }} because kids are amazing and necessary in Heavenly Fathers plan but it was fun to hear stories about the bishopric's children. I was able to sense the type of parents they were when raising their kids: amazingly fun and uplifting :)

Relaxing :)
There was a reason why I was at the Ridge, building 5 for two semesters. There was a reason why I had the roommates I had those two semesters, those FHE brothers, and that amazing bishopric and their wives in my ward. They truly are chosen sons of God and their testimonies strengthened mine. Their hard work, love for the ward, and love for the gospel really brought the ward together. I would give anything to have those men back in my life where I get to see them on a weekly basis but I know that I will see them again. If there is one thing I learned in the temple when my family got sealed is that I
will see all my loved ones again...and I cannot wait for that day to come :)
