I went to the temple this morning and it was seriously what I've been needing for a long time. Laila wasn't feeling good {{feel better!!}} so I went alone...which meant walking. Not going to lie...I really wanted to go back to bed and not go because I hate walking uphill but I woke up at 6:30am, wide awake, and knew that it wasn't a coincidence that I wasn't completely tired when waking up this morning. So, I start heading out to the temple at 7am. It was nice out luckily but I really enjoyed the time I had to talk to my Heavenly Father on the way. Maybe this is weird to you but I was practically having a conversation with Him on the way there; telling Him what has been going on, the decisions I've been making, and guidance. I walked into the temple at 7:25 and was immediately greeted by warm smiles. After I got my clothes and started walking to the changing room...the thought, "This is home" came to my mind. It was so good to be back. Today I did a baptism for someone who was born in 1607! THAT WAS FOREVER AGO! They've been waiting forever to have someone do their work for them. Granted the person after me would of ended up doing the work for them if I didn't go but I really felt like I was able to connect to the person, just a little bit. I got done at 8:20 and got home at 8:40. Now, it's time to get ready for school :)
♥ The Girl Who Is Getting Married In The Temple Someday

"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

- I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.

Good job liv! I'm so proud of you, you are an incredible example!
ReplyDeleteFunny story, my freshman year the temple was being dedicated, I think it was in like January or February, needless to say it was FREEZING! So my roommate Shelly and I asked Mark, Chris, and Logan if they could pick us up but they said something like they were coming from Rigby and were running late so they couldn't....anyway shelly and I were walking up that hill from Navuoo in our heals and skirts and the boys drove by, not realizing it was us cuz our heads were down trying to keep the snow out of our eyes and they were laughing at us and said to each other, look at those stupid girls. When we got there our legs were purple and we looked horrible. They realized those stupid girls were us!
hahaha i remember you telling me that story like forever ago! so funny!!! we should do baptisms sometime! even though you do endowments now but...it would still be fun! you, me and abby!
