Today I got to hang out with my dear friend Kaylee Crossley! She was one of my roommates last semester and just transferred to Provo this fall! She too is going on a mission {{YAY!!}} and leaves January 25th to the Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission!! Soo stoked for her! We're going to be roommates for sure in Fall 2013 at PROVO {{crossing fingers I get in}}. Well, after reuniting with a huge hug, we decided to go to Costa Vida for lunch. We walk in and I noticed that Suz {{my current other roommate}} was there with her date hahaha what were the chances! So I of course pick a spot where I could creepishly stalk her and her date but eventually she noticed us so it was no more secretive stalking lol. Kay and I caught up with life, boys, the missions, and more boys. I LOVE Kay! She really is such a sweet girl and such an amazing person. She is going to do wonderful on her mission and the people in Wisconsin are so lucky to have her!
Well...I told Kay I wanted to go to the Deseret Bookstore and look around but...there is this jeweler store right next to Costa Vida... ;) Yup. We went in. I pretended to be the girl almost getting engaged and Kay was just there for "moral support". We walk in and act all excited and what not {{come on...we gotta act the part!}}. The lady who was helping us was super nice and she herself was engaged so she loved showing us all the different rings. She eventually asks me, "So...your going to be getting engaged soon?"....HAHAHA okay, lets just say that today I learned that I am really, really good at lying on the spot. Like, really good, it's bad. I told the lady that yes, I am going to be engaged soon and I wanted to start looking for rings. The poor girl got so excited for me haha! We start looking at rings and oh my gosh...they were gorgeous. I asked her where she was going to get married and she said in Mexico cause that's where she is from {{for the record, she's totally white}} and that her fiancé is from Rexburg so they are going to travel to Mexico for the wedding. She asks me where I'm from and I tell her California...she then asks me where my boyfriend is from..."oh..he's from....Seattle!" Ohhhhhh my gosh. I was seriously d.y.i.n.g. inside. I told her I didn't know what temple we were going to be married in because it all depends on the day and where it's more convenient for our families. Again, I'm such a good liar.
We kept putting on rings and I realized that I don't like the super thin bands...I feel like I'll break them! I also realized that all the things I liked the most were between $6,000-8,000...oops. I feel bad for my future hubby haha BUT, if your a student you get 50% off so it made me feel a little better for when I do find a ring I really like and it is super expensive lol. I got a picture of my top three favorite rings. Here they are:
I'll admit...I kind of did wish I was really shopping for an engagement ring. But, I know that the one I want to marry will be looking and waiting for me when I come home from my mission. And it will be then when I get to go shopping for reals and none of this pretending my future fiancé is from Seattle crap hahaha. As we were leaving, I asked when the store hours were {{I know...I'm so mean haha but I still wanted to act the part so she didn't think we were completely wasting her time}} and I had her write down the names of the rings for me to keep. Overall, good experience for sure. And hey! We got the rings we were currently wearing cleaned so now they are super shiny aka why my CTR ring looks super nice haha.
♥ The Girl Who Can't Wait To Get Married One Day
"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

- I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
