"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.

Special Olympics

I LOVE volunteering for Special Olympics! I've been volunteering since the 7th grade and every time is better then the last. Special Olympics is a wonderful opportunity for the athletes to be apart of something so great. They are able to be around us volunteers and more especially, compete! The athletes love to compete but more importantly, love receiving their ribbon in the end. This spring semester at BYU-I I'm on the Special Olympic committee. I signed up for it during my off track when the application was available, had a quick interview, then got to join the committee! I'm so stoked to able to be apart of the committee. I love the Special Olympics program and that is one thing that I miss so much about high school; being able to be apart of it and volunteering for it.

Today we had a Special Olympic event at BYU-I. We had over 200 volunteers! My two roommates Emily and Lara came along with me and volunteered. It was so much fun! I was actually able to get a good number of my friends to volunteer with me. I was the basketball director for the event today and haha I was so stressed out! There was a bin that was suppose to have "everything I needed" in it and lol yup...didn't really have anything! The beginning process of Special Olympics is always the most stressful part because you know you are on crunch time and you need to get everything ready for the athletes. Eventually it all worked out but boy haha I felt so unorganized and I hate being unorganized but what was worse was that I've done this before so I felt that I had it in the bag...but I didn't lol. Oh well, it all worked out so that's all that matters :)

I ended up getting interviewed for channel 8 news and for the school paper! Getting interviewed for channel 8 news was pretty cool though because they gave me the little speaker box and I had the mic clipped on to my sweatshirt and haha I felt so cool! Here is the link if you want to watch it!

Today I went to a tanning bed...so pathetic, I know. Never thought I would but...never say never.
