"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
I'm a Mormon.

Before the Miss Becomes a Mrs.

Saturday afternoon was Ms. Kelli Barker's Bridal Shower!! I offered to help Jana plan the shower so I was in charge of the games and let me tell you...I was very nervous about that! The games are an important part to the Bridal Shower because without it, it would just be girls eating food and opening presents. I of course procrastinated till the morning of to get everything together but it worked out! Kelli looked beautiful Saturday. She was glowing and you can tell that she's very excited to go from a Ms. to a Mrs.

We had the shower at Logan's (Jana's boyfriend) house. The reason why we had it there was because of the connection. Mark's (Kelli's soon to be hubby) brother married Logan's sister so their two little girls will soon be Kelli's nieces! Anywhosers, the house was so cute! We had a table where we placed all of the food and we did all of our activities in the patio outside. Jana and Adria made these DELICIOUS cupcakes that were so stinkin cute! We had pasta salad, rolls, watermelon, and the cupcakes. It was all very yummy. Logan's sister, Sarah, made these cute decorations to hang from the ceiling which made the place complete.
Kelli's Bridal Shower was the first one I've ever been to. That's why I was also so nervous about planning the games and everything because I didn't have a past experience as an example to work from. The shower turned out perfect and Kelli seemed to really like all of her gifts ;)

It's amazing how so many of my friends are getting married! I'm so happy for them and proud of them because each one of them have and will be going through the temple. That's our goal in life really, to make it to the temple. It is there that we make sacred covenants with the Lord and with our eternal companion. It is there that we are sealed to our eternal companion for time and all eternity, not "till death do us part". That's the one thing I loved about the church; the family unity aspect. I wanted my kids to be apart of a family that was close and united; a family that will be together forever. I can't wait till I find my eternal companion. Heck, I could of met him already and not even know it haha but when I do find him, I hope I'm everything that he wants me to be and likewise with him for me.

We may spend a lot of our time looking for that special someone that we hope to marry one day but we need to remember, they too are looking for that special someone that they hope marry one day. We must make ourselves presentable for when they come.
