"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.

4th of July Weekend

I had such a great weekend! 3 of my roommates went out of town so the only ones home that stayed home was Stasia, Lara, and myself which was nice because I felt that we were able to bond a lot more this weekend with everyone gone. Plus, the house was empty which was super nice! I was really excited for the 3-day weekend and at first, I was little worried it wasn't going to be great since I was stuck in Rexburg while everyone else went out of town but I must say...Rexburg, you definitely impressed me!

Friday, Lara and I went to the Sand Bar and tanned. I swear, I feel like tanning should be a class that I can get credits for towards my major. I tan a lot now. It's so easy to just put homework aside and go lay out in the sun. I know it's getting close to the end of the semester and that I should probably do less tanning and more of studying but...come on! If you really knew me, you would be laughing right now thinking, "Come on Olivia, don't lie to yourself. You know you are not going to do less tanning! Since when do you put homework as a priority? Plus, if you stop tanning you'll just take more naps." :) Later that night I saw A-Team with Tyler (aka Shotty), Zack, and Dan. It was a really good movie!

Saturday was Idaho's "4th of July". Since the 4th of July was on a Sunday this year, Idaho pretty much celebrated it on Saturday. Saturday morning I had to work which sucked but the plus side of it was that it went by super fast and I got off at 2 so I still had the whole day to celebrate! I went and watched the fireworks in IF (Idaho Falls). Apparently, IF's firework show is the second best in the nation! It's a 30 minute show and it is legit! I loved it! It was fun to be with friends and to hang out with the ward. I seriously have the best ward ever...I love them so much!

Sunday was a pretty chill day. Lara and I skipped the first two meetings of church due to our lack of sleep and just went to sacrament meeting. It was fast Sunday so I went up and bore my testimony. It was the last fast Sunday in our ward so it was nice to hear everyone bear their testimonies for the last time this semester. Lara went up and bore her testimony as well. She hasn't done it in a long time because she gets nervous but I loved her testimony! You could tell that it was very sincere and from the heart. Later on that day, Stasia and I went to Porter Park to lay out which was very relaxing. To end the night I went to Stadium Singing. Stadium Singing is a thing where you go to the football stadium, stand under the bleachers with a bunch of other BYU-Idaho students and sing hymns for a half hour. I love it! I think I've gone every Sunday this semester and it is honestly the best way to end the night. Lara and I really wanted to have a sleep over in the front room because everyone was gone and we thought it would be fun so we brought out our mattresses and watched a chick flick together. It was so much fun sleeping in the front room! I loved it!!

Today we hung out with J and Cory and went to this secret spot they knew of in St. Anthony with a few of their friends. Not going to lie...it was a pretty legit spot! It was a little breezy and the water was cold so I didn't dare go in but if I were to go there again on a nice hot day...it would be THE perfect spot! Lara and I just tanned for the most part while everyone else was in the river and playing games. It was so nice to just relax and just enjoy the day off.

Afterward, we went to this teriyaki bowl bus/shack (whatever you want to call it) and bought a plateful of rice and teritaki chicken. At first we thought it wouldn't be enough but ohhhhh my goodness...it was HUGE!!!!!! I mean, for 5 bucks it was well worth it. The meal could easily feed you for 3-4 meals, literally. It was insane how much food they gave you for little money. Once that was done, Zack took my to Twizzle Berry and got me some yogurt since we made a bet on whoever won speed had to buy a treat for the other person. I obviously kicked his butt haha so he had to buy me something! It was sooo good. Totally hit the spot.

I feel like I had a really great weekend in Rexburg in celebration of the birth of our country! It is so weird to think that the semester is almost over...when in all honesty I sometimes feel like it still hasn't started...haha.

I have soo much homework to be doing right now but I'm simply not going to do it...ughh I'm screwed haha
