SO much went on this weekend!
First, I started off my Friday by going to the temple with Lara Keyworth. Her and I both went to the temple once a week last semester but since our schedules always conflicted, we were only able to go together once. However, this semester we both decided to go on Friday's without knowing that the other was going to do the same! It was perfect! So every Friday morning, 7am sharp, we will be in the temple. I love that girl so much and she seriously is such a role model to me. After classes and everything I got ready to go to Susannah's birthday party at her apt! She just turned 19! WOO!! It was a lot of fun! We then drove around to try and find something fun to do but it was already getting to be late so we just called it a night.
Saturday was super busy! Mo (aka Emily...she doesn't like being called em cause everyone calls any emily em for short so she is sick of it lol) and I woke up early to go donate some plasma but realized that of course, it would be busy so we can't go back until the 29th to do our physical. Better late then never, right? After, I went fabric shopping with Mackenzie and Sarah for my sewing classes. It was a lot of fun to pick out pretty fabric! Once we were done, I went back home to get ready to go watch the BYU vs. Airforce game at the theater. It was SUCH a pathetic game! I mean, BYU literally might as well not shown up for the game because that was pretty much what they did. Oh well. After that I came home and went to Lara's apartment to chit chat with her. We decided we wanted to do something fun that night so we decided to go to Sammy's! So it was Lara, my new roommate Kelsey, and myself that went to Sammy's. We really wanted to try their shakes but the line was out the door! So we listened to some bands perform and it was pretty sweet. We decided to go to Twizzleberry to stall time for Lara's other friends to show up. As Lara is about to open the door at Twizzleberry she kind of yells, "OH! Nope, you don't want to go in there!" and shuts the door. I had no idea why she said that until I looked in and saw who was there...haha it really wasn't a big deal but...since him and I used to always go to Twizzleberry...I might of acted a little awkward. Ha, it's whatever. Eventually, Lara's friends showed up and we stayed for a little bit longer and then went back to my apartment to play some card games. After everyone left, all of my roommates were still awake. We then decided that we wanted to play INDOOR SOCCER in our family room...hahhahaa! Stupid idea but so worth it and fun!
Today was such a good day! I seriously love Sundays because they just always make me happy! I got to meet my new ward for the semester - seems like it's going to be fun! It was nice to see the bishop rec again and it was nice because seeing them reminded me of how fortunate I am to have such amazing men as my bishop rec. Love them. It was nice to see some old faces and to see a lot of new faces. All the lessons/talks were great today and I was able to get a lot of good notes down. After church, I made dinner for Kyle and I. So, we made this deal. Since he knows spanish really well and I want to learn it and since he doesn't know how to cook and I am somewhat of a decent cook...we made a deal that if I make him dinner, he teaches me spanish. Haha! I don't know how much I'll actually learn but it's nice to hang out with him since he's a friend from home. I guess you can say that when I get homesick, I can just turn to him and he can just make things better since he's my friend from home. After dinner we went to the CES fireside! It was soooo good! Elder Scott is the MAN! Loved the talk. Later my roommate Meghan and I went stadium singing. I LOVE going stadium singing! It is such a great way to end the night.
So this weekend was a great first weekend of the semester. Not the best necessarily but it was super fun. I made a commitment with Mo and Kels that we aren't going to eat anything after 8pm...it's hard! But we're going to do it and with p90x starting tomorrow...we're going to have the hottest bods in sexy rexy! ;) Haha! But seriously.
Me: So, how are things going for you and this new guy?
Lara: Well, he poked me today on facebook so I think it's going pretty well.
