Elder Parker Austin Williams

Parker is my best friend. I know I always talked about Paul being my best friend but Parker knows everything about me. Everything that I've done, what I've done, etc. He knows it all. Parker and I met at a youth church dance probably our...sophomore year? We started becoming friends beginning of our junior year when he was texting Joy asking about me. We eventually added each other via facebook (haha, so lame) and started emailing each other back and forth. I wanted to ask him to homecoming but I think he was going to General Conference that weekend so he wasn't able to come to mine. He was going to ask me to his but then he asked some other chick. I was not happy about that haha. I think after that we stopped talking for maybe...2 weeks? But then it wasn't a big deal anymore and we continued talking to each other. We talked about everything! He seriously is the one and only guy who knows me and can tell how I feel by the tone of my voice or by my body gestures. He knows all of my secrets as well. He's the perfect best friend!
One special experience that Parker and I have together was when I asked him to baptize me at my baptism. One night we were texting and it was after I decided I wanted to get baptized. At first, I wanted my friend Alex Theobald to baptize me but I remember him thinking he'd be busy that day. However, in the end, I truly felt like Parker was suppose to be the one to baptize me. So, I texted him asking how he would feel about baptizing me. At first he was shock and kept asking me if that was what I really wanted. I reassured to him that yes, that was what I really wanted! I even remember the day my dad sat me down telling me how he'd support me my senior year and go to church with me every Sunday and calling Parker immediately when I got into the car in tears of joy. He was the person I went to for everything.
So, on June 1st, 2008 Parker baptized me. I remember being in the fount and seeing him nervous. I remember how serious he was the entire time. I remember coming up from the water, looking at him, and receiving the biggest hug from him as we both cried in each others arms. Right now he is serving in Colorado Springs, Colorado! He originally got called to Mexico City but with medical reasons he got sent to CO which is where Emily lives! He is doing so great and I love getting his emails. He is the most amazing friend in the world and I'm so grateful he was put in my life.
