"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.

Good Work Dad!

My daddy is...well...quite the individual. If any of you personally know my dad, then that is all I really need to say :) He's a great guy but can get carried away at times. He did something today that impressed me. Wait a minute. Lets rewind a little and give you the nutshell of the situation behind the story I'm about to tell you. My little brother, Chris, used to be on this basketball "team" and this guy (and father) was the coach of the team. This coach was um...quite the individual as well? Lets just say after Chris left the team, him and my daddy didn't/never got along. All throughout middle school, my little brother and this coach's son ALWAYS went after each other. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that both of our families enjoyed the games where we got to play each other to see who had the "better player". I know, very Christ-like of us haha. Anywhosers, this kid transferred to Amador this year and plays on Varsity while Chris is on JV. He is doing great on Varsity and it showed in tonight's game. Now, lets fast forward to what happened tonight.

The kid got pulled out of the game and took a seat on the bench for a break. He was looking for some water but couldn't find his. His dad, who was sitting just two rows in front of us, starts looking around and then reaches in his wallet for a dollar to quickly hand off to his daughter to get his son some water. BUT. The amazing part of the story. My dad called the dad by his name and handed him a water bottle! He takes the water bottle and tosses it to his son and then he goes back in the game. The other dad then turned to my dad, they exchanged handshakes, and he said, "Thank you." THIS WAS HUGE FOR MY DAD!! I was literally shocked. I wish I had it on film or something.

Moral of the story is: sometimes you have to be the bigger person. Yeah, it sucks at time but it's only going to help the situation get better. My dad decided to be the bigger person tonight and I couldn't be more proud of him :)
