"...This life is made up of little things-little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God." - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

I'm just your typical girl who loves to lay around in sweats, a messy bun and spend quality time with those she loves. I've learned that it's the little things in life that makes it so beautiful. Even when life gets hard, little things like a smile or a simple "I love you" can make all the difference. I truly believe in this. Never think that your life doesn't matter - it does. It matters for eternity. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I am a Christian.
I'm a Mormon.

1. This weekend I started it by attending a Funeral Service for a friend of mine in the singles ward. His mother had passed away and although Ryan and I were going to go to a cabin with some friends, we both felt that it would be appropriate to support Jared and attend the service. It was such a beautiful service! It was my first funeral service so I walked in a little unease on what to expect. I'm a huge cry baby so I was not looking forward for the tears and my mascara to be running down my face. However, it was simply beautiful!...and funny? Although you can tell the kids were having a hard time, they still were able to crack plenty of jokes throughout the service in memory of their dear mother. Listening to the type of person she was was so inspiring. I seriously walked away wanting to become that woman one day.
2. After the funeral service, Ry and I started to head home and we noticed another couple in our singles ward parked along side of the road, standing outside looking at their car. I frantically yelled, "Stop! Stop!' while hitting {{not hard}} Ryan on the arm to pull over as if he wasn't already thinking the same thing as me. We get out of the car and walk over to them to see if they needed help. They needed a ride to the gas station. Ry and I just kind of stared at them for 2 seconds where I then said, "We can drive you to the gas station!" As the other couple go back to their car to get their personal belongings, Ry and I walked back to his car and I told him how I was sorry for taking charge of this entire situation. He then said how he was happy I suggested a ride to the gas station because sometimes he just freezes and knows what he should say but doesn't say it. We had a good little chuckle. After taking them back to their car, it still wouldn't start up! So, we took them all the way back to Dublin (from Livermore) and got them to their other car at home. Ryan and I felt really good after that, performing our little act of service!
3. I came home that day with a letter from Elder Paul sitting on my kitchen table!! I was SO EXCITED! Me and some of my friends had sent him a package about a month ago so I knew that this letter was going to be about the package. Josh is one of my best friends and I miss him so much! I really need to be a better friend to him and write him as often as I can.
4. The BYU vs. San Diego championship game was on Saturday and I watched Jimmer play for the first time...haha I know he's a great player but if I had no idea who the heck he was, I would of thought he was awful! It did make me jealous how BYUI doesn't have an "actual team" for any of their sports but, I like my intramural sports thank you very much.
5. That night Ryan, Andy, and I went to this ward activity. It was a bonfire! But, not any kind of bonfire, like, a HUGE LEGIT ONE! No joke. It was HUGE! I can't even describe it to you how big it was. It was cool.
6. I freakin hate the time change. Correction, I hate losing an hour of sleep. Luckily, Eric sent me a text the night before reminding me of the time change. My stupid phone doesn't automatically change the time for me {{I know, so lame}} so I was relying on my phone to get the job done and get me up at the right time. Nope. I was an hour behind. But at least I made the sacrament this time!!
7. Whoever created seamless underwear is a genius. I wore this dress that Lara gave me on Sunday and you could totally see the lining of my underwear {{thong, whatever}}! But, I bought a seamless pair my junior year for prom so luckily it was washed and I wore it on Sunday! It was great.
8. The wonders of bras. I remember in middle school stuffing EVERYTHING in my bra. No, not toilet paper. Just my cell phone, chap-stick, money, ID card to buy lunch, you name it. I stuffed some cash in my bra because my hands were full and as I took off my Sunday clothes tonight, I turned to the mirror and saw the cash. In my bra. I looked like such a hooker.
9. It was an off day at church for me so I decided to go to a fireside at the Temple. Alone. It was so great! I guess I needed a reminder of how grateful I am to be a member of this church as I saw recent converts bearing their testimonies and seeing the fire in them. After the fireside I saw this guy who I always see when I'm home. He's not a complete creeper but he can be a creep at times. He asked me how much longer I was home and I told him a month. He then tells me how I need to get a boy real quick and enjoy the time I have left...followed with a wink. I told him I had a boyfriend and that was the end of the conversation. It was at that moment that I was so happy I had the excuse of "I have a boyfriend" and wasn't lying or pretending that I did.
10. I had recently tagged a photo of Patrick and I to Sister O'Neill. It was a picture of us from summer 08 and we were doing community service. She commented on the photo and wrote, "Olivia...we miss you!!! You are part of our family, you need to come home more often!" :) Possibly freaking out because I have a boyfriend? Yeah, probably haha.
11. I love it when you think you lose something but then soon find it! I gave my brother my chap-stick to borrow on Friday and he never gave it back to me til Saturday night. I had thought I put it in my purse but couldn't find it! I figured it was in my room or still downstairs and it was still missing! This morning I grabbed my juicy zip-up and put my hand in one of the pockets and TA-DA!! My missing chap-stick! Loved it.

  1. Ummmm Olivia, you are so great! I've totally been stalking your blog just now...I hope that's okay :) I just wanted to say...I totally stuff EVERYTHING in my bra too! I love it. I used to keep my phone in there more than I'd ever put it in my pocket (then I got a new phone that doesn't fit quite right, boo). Have you ever had the problem where whatever you stuck in there actually sticks to you after you take your bra off?? It's weird. Hahaha :)
